HCM City opens tourist support centres

HCM City on August 2 put into operation two information and support centres for tourists on the Bach Dang Wharf and 23/9 Park.

The 55-square metres each are open between 8 am and 9 pm every day.

Visitors can take direct advice from staff or look for information on guide books and documents in English, Japan, Russia and Chinese. They also have free access to two internet-connected computers with visithochiminhcity.vn set as their homepage.

According to the HCM City Department of Tourism, tourism students and those who know foreign languages will support the operation of the centres.

Le Truong Hien Hoa, Director of the Ho Chi Minh Tourism Promotion Agency, said feedback from tourists on the performance of the centres will be collected.

The HCM City Tourism Department also considers building the same centre at the Tan Son Nhat international airport, and a number of popular destinations in the city, like the Thong Nhat Hall and War Remnants Museum.

HCM City has also prepared for the opening the second pedestrian street at Bui Vien in District 1./.
