Hello Vietnam program at Russia’s MGIMO University

On the occasion of the great festival in 2015 and 65 years of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Russian Federation, Vietnamese students from Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) have organized a program themed "Hello Vietnam" to promote the country and people of Vietnam and exchange among students.

On the occasion of the great festival in 2015 and 65 years of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Russian Federation, Vietnamese students from Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) have organized a program themed "Hello Vietnam" to promote the country and people of Vietnam and exchange among students.

The program began with a workshop about Vietnam and Russia –Vietnam relations. During the workshop, many interesting speeches were presented on topics including: the economic cooperation relationship between Russia and Vietnam; the legal framework of the Russian – Vietnamese and Vietnam - ASEAN relationship; an evaluation of the result of the recent visit to Vietnam of Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, history and importance of Vietnam’s festivals.

In the great hall of MGIMO, visitors could see photos about the country, the people, their cultural festivals and the traditional culinary dishes of Vietnam.

During the program, students and visitors could see and buy traditional craft products, as well as tea, coffee, rattan furniture, embroidery products and souvenirs.

In addition, an art program was performed by Russian and Vietnamese students including a display of traditional long dresses and folk song performance.

The program not only helped foreign students understand more about the national identity of Vietnam but also link students together through diplomatic activities./.
