According to President Nguyen Phuong Nga, in the first six months of 2023, the Union organized nearly 300 people-to-people diplomacy activities.

These activities include a series of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Paris Agreement on ending the war and restoring peace in Vietnam, the meeting between the Chairman of the United Russia Party (URP) and the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev with the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association on the occasion of Medvedev's official visit to Vietnam.

The activities of the local Friendship Union closely follow the theme of 2023 "Improving the effectiveness of people-to-people diplomacy, realizing the goals of economic, cultural, and social development".

"The press agencies are interested in the activities of the Union and its member organizations. The activities are timely and boldly reported. There have been more than 30 foreign activities of the Union widely spread by the press agencies of Hanoi, provinces, and cities.

Many activities are widely reported. The highlight is the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Paris Agreement, ending the war and restoring peace in Vietnam, with the participation of reporters from about 40 press agencies with over 200 press products published.

Information work contributed to helping the people of Vietnam and the world understand and support the people-to-people diplomacy activities implemented by the Union," said President Nguyen Phuong Nga.
