Int'l Charity Festival-Goers in Prague Impressed with Vietnam's Conical Hat
The Vietnamese Embassy in the Czech Republic recently joined an international charity festival held by the Diplomatic Spouses Association in Prague.
This year's charity festival was held at the Hilton Hotel with the participation of a large number of Embassies, the Diplomatic Corps, Diplomatic Spouses Association in Prague. The activity was organized to enhance foreign exchanges and connections between embassies and also aims to raise funds to support charity activities in Prague in 2024.

Attending this year's festival were Czech President's spouse Eva Pavlová, Ambassador Thai Xuan Dung, leaders of the Vietnamese Associations in Europe, leaders of the Vietnamese Association in the Czech Republic and all officials and employees. member of the Vietnamese Embassy in the Czech Republic.
The festival featured the participation of over 50 embassies based in Prague, presenting and selling their traditional artworks, clothing, gifts, products, and traditional foods.
Buying products offered by embassies at the event, visitors joined hands to support Czech’s charity groups. They also enjoyed traditional musical and artistic performances there.
Ambassador Thai Xuan Dung said that attending the event, the Vietnamese diplomatic delegation wants to introduce dishes popular in Vietnamese families and reaffirm the Vietnamese tradition of supporting one another.

Nguyen Thien Nga, wife of the Vietnamese Ambassador to the Czech Republic and head of the organizing committee of the Festival shared that the Vietnamese Embassy in the Czech Republic always actively participates in the activities of the Diplomatic Spouses Association. This year is the first time the Vietnamese Embassy attended this event after a period interrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
"To raise charity funds, we brought the ceremony to the association of traditional Vietnamese products and dishes to contribute to the Czech government's charity fund," she said.

Vietnam brought to this year's charity festival many typical and traditional products such as conical hats, spring rolls, fried spring rolls, steamed rolls (banh cuon), dumplings, Vietnamese donuts, traditional tea, and coffee, among others. Vietnam's booth was elaborately decorated with folk and traditional materials that contributed to attracting a large number of visitors to see and experience, contributing to the success of the festival.
The Diplomatic Spouses Association is a voluntary, non-profit, non-political, and independent organization founded in 1997, with members from about 50 countries.
Since 2000, the association has raised about USD 3 million for Czech charity groups.
