Tet is the most beautiful time in the year
“I have experienced a lot to learn about Vietnamese culture. To me, Tet is the most beautiful time in the year. This year, I am eager to go further and delve deeper with this special and joyful art, a symbol of Vietnamese emotions during Tet,” said Nadav Eshcar while visiting the home of Hang Trong painting artist Le Dinh Nghien.
Listening to artist Nghien talking about paintings, the Israeli Ambassador said: “For me, this is a great opportunity to experience a different perspective. I like the art of painting because it is a unique angle in each culture. When you look at a picture of today or decades ago, you will feel connected to their time."

Painting as well as literature connects many generations in society. I am pleased to have the opportunity to meet Nghien and learn about this art.
Nghien showed me how he has been drawing for over 6 decades. He learned from his father and is teaching it to his son. This is a folk art passed down from generation to generation.
He told me the different colors with their meanings in each picture. For example, the yin and yang of a warm or cool color should be balanced.
Compared with many other lines of paintings, I find Hang Trong paintings colorful. The colors stand out and show playfulness. That's why people want to hang Hang Trong paintings on their walls, especially for Tet.
During Tet, these can bring joy. The subject in the drawings itself is the wish for prosperity and health, many people like it."
Celebrating Tet in Vietnam 19 years ago
According to the Ambassador, painting looks easy but doing it is much more difficult. “As Nghien said, we need to have a relaxed mind to properly express art,” he said.

On this occasion, I learn about culture, meet friends, colleagues, and celebrate Tet. For me and my family, this is a special Tet. 19 years ago, I went to Vietnam in Tet, and I will definitely come back.
Relations between the two countries Israel and Vietnam are reaching a peak. We have cooperated in many fields such as academia, investment, culture, education, industry, agriculture.
I am optimistic about the future of relations between Israel and Vietnam. The two nations have many similarities. The Vietnamese can be called the Israelis of East Asia, and the Israelis the Vietnamese of the Middle East.
Next year, the two countries will sign a free trade agreement. It will open up great opportunities for our relationship.
I would like to send my best wishes for the new year to the people of Vietnam. I hope that the relationship between the two countries will be stronger.
Wishing all my friends in Vietnam a happy new year. I wish you all good health and prosperity, hope that the pandemic will be over and life will be normal soon."
