Speaking at the seminar, Israeli Ambassador to Vietnam Yaron Mayer stated, “Investing in women’s health is not only a humanitarian act but also a smart strategy to build a more prosperous society. When women are healthy, families and communities become stronger. We believe that women’s health is not just a personal issue but a foundation for sustainable community development.”

The ambassador encouraged women to take full advantage of health check-up services and the useful information provided at the seminar. He emphasized that the event was a testament to the strong friendship between Israel and Vietnam. Israel is not only a pioneer in healthcare innovation but also values mutual support, knowledge sharing, and ensuring equitable access to medical services for all.

Deputy Director of the Department of Maternal and Child Health, Tran Dang Khoa, highly appreciated this initiative and expressed hope for deeper cooperation in the future to bring Israel’s advanced medical technologies to Vietnam, improving the quality of women's healthcare.

During the seminar, doctors from Family Medical Practice, the Vietnam-Russia Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Research and Treatment Center, and Hanoi Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital shared valuable information on nutrition, reproductive health, common diseases in women, and the importance of regular health check-ups. These insights aim to help women raise awareness of self-care for their own health and their families.

As part of the event, the Israeli Embassy in Vietnam introduced Israel’s cutting-edge medical technologies, attracting the interest of healthcare institutions, businesses, international organizations, and NGOs. The showcased innovations included AI-powered smart diagnostic systems, early disease detection technology for women, and solutions for optimizing medical examination and treatment processes.

Earlier that morning, 100 underprivileged or ill women from Soc Sơn district, Hanoi, received free comprehensive health check-ups at Medlatec Hanoi Clinic. This was the first group of a total of 300 women to receive support in the coming period. The activity is part of the “Healthy Women, Strong Communities” campaign, jointly organized by the Israeli Embassy in Vietnam and the Center for Women and Development.

Israel commits to supporting Vietnam in medical technology transfer

In an interview with the Vietnam Times about the role of the Israeli Embassy in promoting medical technology transfer, Ambassador Yaron Mayer stated:

“The Israeli Embassy in Vietnam is committed to serving as a bridge to bring Israel’s advanced medical technologies to Vietnam. We achieve this through innovation, information sharing, and facilitating access for businesses, healthcare providers, and relevant organizations in Vietnam to suitable solutions from Israel.

The Israel Economic and Trade Office in Vietnam is always ready to support connections between healthcare partners to seek technologies and solutions that meet Vietnam’s practical medical needs. Additionally, we organize delegations to Israel to directly explore these technologies, understand their operations, and apply them in practice.

However, technology transfer is not just about purchasing medical equipment or new products. For technology to be effective, proper training, adaptation to local conditions, and ensuring that medical personnel can operate it proficiently are crucial. Technology is only truly valuable when it serves people and brings tangible benefits to patients.”

The ambassador also emphasized that each country has its own unique language, culture, and healthcare system, making it essential to adapt technologies to fit Vietnam’s practical needs.

“We are actively working with the Vietnamese government and relevant authorities to promote related initiatives, contributing to improving healthcare services and public health,” said Ambassador Yaron Mayer.
