Laos and Vietnam get-together congratulate Laos’ 45th National Day

Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Ba Hung on November 26 visited the offices of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations and the Lao Ministry of Foreign Affairs to pass on his congratulations on the 45th National Day of Laos (December 2, 1975 - 2020).
Hung said the birth of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic is historically significant to not only the people of Laos but also those of Vietnam.
Under the LPRP’s leadership, the country has seen remarkable and comprehensive achievements, with improved living standards and an increasingly heightened position on the regional and global stage over the last 45 years, he said.
The ambassador also expressed his delight at the strong development of relations between the two Parties, States, and people of Vietnam and Laos over recent years despite the challenges, even the COVID-19 pandemic.
He said he is confident that the LPRP’s upcoming 11th National Congress will be a great success for the party to continue guiding the Lao people towards greater future achievements.
On this occasion, Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Ba Hung also wished the upcoming important conferences between the two countries including the Vietnamese-Laos Foreign Ministers' 7th Annual Consultation and the two countries' 30th annual meeting of the Vietnam-Laos border delegations full successes.
Head of the LPRP Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations, Sounthone Sayachak, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Saleumsay Kommasith thanked Hung for his gesture, saying the achievements of the Party and the people of Laos could not have been made without the help of Vietnam. Sayachak, for her part, highlighted Vietnam-Laos relations over the last 45 years, saying the two countries have stood side-by-side to support each other’s development and response to COVID-19.

Ms Sunthon Saynhachac affirmed that Lao people always remembered the two countries' soldiers with their great contribution who sacrificed their blood for the revolutionary cause, the national independence, the freedom and happiness of the two peoples.
Head of the LPRP Central Committee’s Commission for External Relationsaffirmed that, although the regional and world situations have been still complicated, especially the COVID-19 outbreak and spreading, two parties, two states and two peoples continued maintaining our traditionally long-standing special relationship with support and assistance to each other during two countries carrying out the national Doi Moi (renewal) and development. On this occasion, Ms. Sunthon Saynhachac thanked Vietnamese leaders of the Party, State and people for giving a lot of affection to, supporting and helping Laos in the Covid-19 prevention practically and effectively; and wishing the Vietnamese Party, State and people to successfully implement the 12th National Congress Resolution and organize the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
