Liberation Day, President’s Birth Anniversary Celebrated In Venezuela
The Embassy of Vietnam in Venezuela paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh on April 26 at his bust in Caracas in the lead up to the 47th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day on April 30 and ahead of the 132th birth anniversary of the late President, VOV News reported.
It also marked 35 years since UNESCO honoured President Ho Chi Minh as ‘a national hero and a great man of culture of Vietnam’.

Upon visiting the bust in the Venezuelan capital, Ha Thi Nga, president of the Vietnam Women’s Union, expressed her delight at the flourishing comprehensive partnership between both sides.
She underlined that Vietnamese people always treasure friendship with Venezuela and support the country’s struggle for national independence, sovereignty protection and national development, expressing her hope that bilateral relations will continue thriving in the coming time.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Venezuela Le Viet Duyen underlined President Ho Chi Minh’s contributions to Viet Nam’s national liberation and voiced his belief that the Viet Nam-Venezuela friendship and comprehensive cooperation will be strengthened, contributing to the countries’ development as well as peace and stability in the region and the world.
For her part, as The World & Vietnam, Vice Minister of Foreign Relations of Venezuela Capaya Rodríguez said the Government and people of the country highly value the countries’ comprehensive partnership, wishing to bring the bilateral relations to a new height and thoroughly prepare for a meeting of the inter-governmental committee in the future.

According Vietnamplus, at the event on February 9, regarding Venezuela – Vietnam relations, the diplomat highlighted the outcomes of bilateral collaboration particularly in agriculture, culture, people-to-people exchange, and concerning projects within the vision of late President Hugo Chavez.
Venezuelan Minister of Foreign Affairs Félix Plasencia hoped the two nations will further step up trade and investment ties, and concretise their cooperation projects in the near future.
For his part, Vietnamese Ambassador to Venezuela Le Viet Duyen expressed his wish the Venezuelan Government, ministries and sectors will promote potential areas for cooperation between the two nations and create optimal conditions for Vietnamese firms wanting to operate in the Latin American country.
Duyen vowed to support the connections between Vietnamese and Venezuelan enterprises, and help them to study the two nations’ economic policies and market information serving bilateral trade and investment activities.

On March 25, a fundamental Vietnamese language course opened in Venezuela for 40 local trainees who are from ministries, sectors, universities and media agencies.
The course, jointly held by the Vietnamese Embassy un Venezuela and the Vietnam-Venezuela Friendship Association, is the first organised in Venezuela for beginners, according to Vietnamese Chargé d'Affaires in Venezuela Van Cong Thang. Thang said he hopes after the course, the trainees can communicate in Vietnamese and get better understanding of the culture, nation and people of Vietnam, making contributions to the promotion of the bilateral friendship.
The teaching and learning of Vietnamese language in Venezuela are expected to contribute to promoting the culture of Vietnam in the host country, while reinforcing the cooperation and friendship between people of both sides. The course will not only help trainees learn Vietnamese but also contribute to increasing the cultural exchange and fostering the friendship between the two countries
