Mexican Labour Party General Secretary extends Tet wishes to Vietnamese

On January 23rd, the General Secretary of the Mexican Labour Party (PT) Alberto Anaya Gutierrez visited and extended Lunar New Year (Tet) greetings to the Vietnamese community in Zacatecas in northern Mexico, and attended the meeting to welcome the 12th National Party Congress.

On January 23rd, the General Secretary of the Mexican Labour Party (PT) Alberto Anaya Gutierrez visited and extended Lunar New Year (Tet) greetings to the Vietnamese community in Zacatecas in northern Mexico, and attended the meeting to welcome the 12th National Party Congress.

The General Secretary together with many Mexican parliamentarians and members of the PT Central Committee, was welcomed by Vietnamese doctors working in the state as part of the countries’ cooperation in acupuncture and Vietnamese students from the Autonomous University of Zacatecas.

In his speech, Mr. Gutierrez highly appreciated the great achievements Vietnam has gained over the past 30 years of innovation, especially hunger elimination and poverty reduction, and improving people’s living standards. He also welcomed the 12th National Party Congress and wished the event success.

He hailed the effective collaboration between Vietnamese professors and doctors and the Autonomous University of Zacatecas in the acupuncture cooperation project, as well as with many Mexican organizations in health care. He hoped the cooperation between the two parties and two countries would be extended and developed for the mutual benefits of the two peoples.

The cooperation project between Vietnam’s National Hospital of Acupuncture and the Autonomous University of Zacatecas over the past 15 years has examined and treated some 200,000 patients./.
