The Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) has introduced the Flex Digital platform, a comprehensive solution to develop e-government in all fields on the basis of its components facilitating important activities such as online public services, online single window systems of ministries, sectors, and localities, and digital data management and sharing.
Launched on December 4, the platform is part of the “Make in Vietnam” platforms developed under the program on National Digital Transformation to 2025 with a vision to 2030, said Vietnam Plus.
Got its debut in the context of accelerated digital transformation in the country, Flex Digital is developed by FOSS Development and Services JSC (FDS) based on open source technology, supplying a comprehensive solution for digital government development. It has some key parts: OpenCPS, FlexMobile, FlexView, FlexData, FlexMap, FlexStat, FlexConnect, FlexNet, and FlexInsight.

As stated by Vietnam Investment Review, Flex Digital is developed based on the achievements of open source technology worldwide, thus facilitating perfect solutions and products, meeting the demand for digital government development in Vietnam.
Addressing the launching ceremony, MIC Minister Nguyen Manh Hung said that during the building of an e-government, Vietnam will develop and own digital technology basing on open standards, with “Make in Vietnam” not only a technology strategy but also a plan of action.
Components of the platform have been applied effectively in 11 sectors and ministries, five provinces, and two international organizations. In the future, Flex Digital will continue to be completed and used to build more software serving the digitalization in ministries, sectors and localities across the country
At present, Flex Digital is being applied effectively at 11 ministries, five provinces, and two international organizations. FDS plans to continue to develop more specific software products to serve digital transformation at ministries and in cities and provinces, Vietnamnet cited.
