Multi-sectoral Businesses from India Explore Cooperation Opportunities in Vietnam
A multi-sectoral business delegation from Rajasthan (India) comprising 24 companies interacted with Vietnamese companies, and representatives of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Invest Global, and Vietnam Electronic Industry Association at a business event in Hanoi in cooperation with the Embassy on October 6. |
During the visit of 18 businesses from the Northern Indian State of Rajasthan to Vietnam, on October 6, the Indian Embassy in Vietnam coordinated with Investglobal to organize an exchange between Vietnamese and Indian businesses.
The delegates exchanged and explored investment and trade opportunities in electricity & electronics, electric cables, switching equipment, solar power, general construction contractors, agricultural product processing and food, fertilizer, education, information technology and software, textiles, mechanical engineering, mineral processing, natural stone, cement, plastics and packaging, pharmaceuticals, financial services, and insurance.
N.K.Jain, Chairman of the Employers Association of Rajasthan, said that Vietnam and India are developing a fruitful Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. The two countries cooperate in many fields such as health care, vaccines, pharmaceuticals, technology, genetic modification, information technology, sustainable integration, water resources management, smart cities, and startups.
According to N.K.Jain, Vietnam, and India are making efforts to develop the automobile industry, electricity, original component manufacturing industries, and information technology. Therefore, he believes that Indian businesses can find partners in these fields in Vietnam. Indian businesses have actively cooperated with Vietnamese partners in human resource training and developing the startup ecosystem and information technology. In addition, the two countries also have the potential to develop a fair and sustainable energy system, in line with global trends, and to achieve the goals set out at COP26.
N.K.Jain said that the event is an opportunity for businesses from both sides to meet, share information, and discuss potential cooperation in various fields. He believes that it will also contribute to boosting the cooperation and investment relationship between the two countries.
