Ninh Binh: Gifts presented to the poor, people with disabilities before Tet
At the ceremony, wheelchairs, crutches, and hearing aids were given to 59, 10, 11 people with disabilities respectively. The activity aimed to promote health and inclusion for people with disabilities who are in extremely difficult circumstances so that they can take initiative in personal activities, and at the same time igniting additional motivation for other people with disabilities to confidently rise and step by step integrate with the community.
Bui Thi May, a 27-year-old person with disabilities living in Phu Loc commune shared: "I am very touched by the care of the project staff, the Aid for social protection program Foundation Vietnam (AFV), the Association of People with disabilities in Nho Quan district, as well as the local authorities". Other people with disabilities here and I feel delighted. This gift will help me live more conveniently and reduce the concern my relatives have for me.”
