The temperatures in the mountainous areas may dip down to 16-19 degrees at night. Hanoi also had rain on October 16th and 17th with night temperatures of 19-21 C0.
Vo Van Hoa, director of the Red River Delta Regional Hydro-Meteorological Centre said, "This is the first cold snap of the year but it will not be the coldest as the temperature will only be around 23-24 C0. However, it will cause more widespread rain in the north, especially the northeastern areas."
