Mobilizing overseas to introduce and consume Vietnamese goods
The webinar was held in a context of both advantages and disadvantages, opportunities and challenges. The duo goals (fighting the pandemic and maintaining socio-economic development) and the signing of many new-generation trade agreements pose urgent needs for both the domestic and abroad business communities. On that background, the event aimed to support Vietnamese enterprises to grasp the chances to soon recovery through information exchange and cooperation between organizations, businesses, and individuals. It also represented an effort to change trade promotion approach and implement the government's decisions of mobilizing overseas to introduce and consume Vietnamese goods.
Speaking at the webinar, Vu Ba Phu, Director of the Department of Trade Promotion under the Ministry of Industry and Trade hoped that the network of overseas businesses and domestic agencies would continue to cooperate in the future. Phu said overseas businesses would support Vietnamese ones to connect with importers in the host country to bring their products to the distribution system in a stable and sustainable way. At the same time, overseas businesses support the national brand program, so that each individual is a representative to promote Vietnamese brands to international friends.
Department of Trade Promotion, which is in charge of trade promotion is willing to connect Vietnamese brands with local importers and provide information on market trends to bring Vietnamese products to the overseas distribution system.

Trade center of overseas Vietnamese - a bridge to introduce products
Delegates from overseas organizations and enterprises addressed the situations, experiences, and solutions to promote Vietnamese goods in foreign countries, as well as those countries' needs for Vietnamese agricultural products, seafood, and textile. They proposed orientations to promote homeland's products, especially through enhancing cooperation among state agencies and private enterprises, making the best use of expo, online connections, and e-commerce platforms.
Hoang Manh Hue, Vietnamese in Poland, said opening trade center of overseas Vietnamese in Europe was a big success. It shows the pride of Vietnam's vision, maturity, and ability to integrate with the host countries. According to Hue, the distribution system of Vietnamese goods in some European countries had developed relatively firmly, which was the basis for the promotion and consumption of goods in the host country. However, this system has not been fully and effectively promoted due to limitations in resources of domestic enterprises and product quality.
"Domestic and overseas enterprises need to work together to build a comprehensive distribution chain covering from domestic raw materials, product quality, to customer care," said Hue.
