Minh Dam shared his experience to professional artists on June 16.

The Polish Embassy in Hanoi and the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum are organizing a painting exhibition themed “Fantasy on Polish Airs” by Polish-Vietnamese artist Minh Dam.

This is his first solo exhibition in the homeland, Vietnam after 31 years living abroad and after 18 years as an artist.

The exhibition displays watercolor paintings of Polish-Vietnamese painter Minh Dam, depicting landscapes, streets and people in Poland – where he has lived in for many years, a number of other European countries where he passed through and also Vietnam – where he was born.

In the introduction to the exhibition, artist Minh Dam said: "Fantasy on Polish Airs is the exhibition dedicated to the country in which I have spent most of my life. It has been 31 years filled with love and peace – and more to go! My watercolors depict what I love about Poland: beauty and peacefulness. I dedicate them to the place that has made me become who I am today”.

Minh said that he had planned to release artworks relating to Poland for a long time.

"For myself, when I travel to Vietnam, I enjoy introducing Vietnamese people to the beauty, culture, historical significance and unique aspects of Poland. However, whenever I am in Poland, I never forget that I am Vietnamese and make efforts to educate my Polish counterparts about Vietnamese culture and history."

"Bringing these works to Vietnam, I hope that the audience will be able to experience the beauty of Poland through the eyes of a Polish-Vietnamese artist. Hopefully, although the geographical distance between the two countries cannot be changed, the distance between the two cultures and people will get closer."

Bringing these works to Vietnam, the organizers want the audience to be able to feel the beauty of Poland through the lens of a Polish person of Vietnamese origin. Although the geographical distance between the two countries cannot be changed, the distance between the two cultures and people hopefully will get closer.

The exhibition is continuing to take place and is receiving great attention from domestic and foreign tourists when coming to the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum.

In response to the audience's affection, painter Minh Dam will spend live sessions at the museum on June 17 and 18 in the time frame 10:00 am and 3:00 pm at the exhibition Hall B, Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, 66 Nguyen Thai Hoc street, Ba Dinh district.
