President Joins National Great Unity Day to Listen to People's Aspirations
To celebrate the 91st anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's Traditional Day (Nov. 18, 1930 - Nov. 18, 2021), President Nguyen Xuan Phuc attended the National Great Unity Day with Co Tu people in Ba commune, Dong Giang district, Quang Nam province on Nov. 15.
President Phuc, who was born in Quang Nam, expressed his deep emotions when visiting the land, the staff, and the people who he used to work with. He recalled memories and affection for his hometown and expressed gratitude to Quang Nam - the revolutionary land that hid and protected the soldiers fighting for national liberation.

Phuc was pleased with the development of Dong Giang district in general and Ba commune in particular. The once difficult land has now changed for the better, showing fresh and strong vitality. Ba commune is the first New Countryside commune in Dong Giang district.
Stressing the role and strength of national unity, President Nguyen Xuan Phuc said that the National Great Unity Day was a meaningful occasion for officials at all levels to connect with the people, listen to their thoughts and aspirations. The task of listening to the people must be done every day through different forms to gain the people's trust and support.

The president hoped people of Ba commune to promote the tradition of solidarity, affection, and care for each other to boost the economy, reduce poverty to less than 5%.
Recalling Uncle Ho's quote: "Solidary, solidarity, great solidarity - Success, success, great success", Nguyen Xuan Phuc hoped the political system and all classes of people need to continue to keep that spirit to build the homeland, especially when hostile forces are attempting to damage the great national unity bloc. To realize the hope, the local party committee government must stay close to the people, listen to them to gain their trust.

President Nguyen Xuan Phuc asked the Quang Nam Party Committee to direct the Fatherland Front, agencies, and other organizations to step up the launch of the patriotic emulation movement, further improve the effectiveness of the movement to reduce poverty, and build new cities in the province.
On this occasion, Phuc granted VND 7.3 billion (US$ 317,000) to support the construction of 100 great solidarity houses and conduct social security for people in the districts of Dong Giang and Tay Giang. Hundreds of gifts were also given to policy families, poor households, and students in the province.

On the same day, State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc and the delegation visited and gave gifts to Y Kong - former chairman of Dong Giang district People's Committee and Vietnamese Heroic Mother Tran Thi Gioi. They also visited Bh'riu Pram - former chairman of Dong Giang district People's Committee.
