Proud Vietnam: gratitudes to those in the front lines against COVID-19

On Tuesday's evening June 23, at the Voice of Vietnam (VOV)'s theater, the journalistic exchange program "Proud Vietnam" was held to honor the team of doctors, soldiers, business community at the front line in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

45 years has gone by from the day of reunification, Vietnam inspired the world to a small and poor country but strong and iron-will to triumpth over its enemies. Today, two words " Viet Nam" is once again mentioned in a admiration of a country has defeated the global pandemic - Covid-19. Vietnam's triumph over the pandemic can be seen clearly through its everywhere-spread messages: "The epidemic is our enemy" , "Unite and together, no one is left left behind."

The "Proud Vietnam" journalistic exchange program was organized to honor the contingent of doctors, soldiers, and business community at the front line who devoted effort to fight COVID-19 epidemic in recent time.

Under the leadership of the Party, Government, National Steering Committee, localities , people of all strata, contingent of medical cadres, soldiers, business community...throughout the country have been overcoming difficulties and join hands to combat epidemic.

A live television program "Proud Vietnam" organized by The Voice of Vietnam (VOV) - VTC Digital Television on Tuesday's evening to honor the frontline anti-epidemic forces including officials, armed forces' combatants, doctors and nurses, supporters...with their work and contribution.

The program truly and vividly reflects the intense days of the country in social distancing against the epidemic, especially the stories coming from the guests who are doctors, soldiers and people facing difficulties in the front line sacrificing their own happiness to accept the disease's danger and risk to fulfill the mission of keeping and remaing the whole country and community's safety.

Together with a contingent of medical doctors and soldiers, from individuals to the businesses, they all contributed much efforts, supplies and money to join hands with the Government to fight against the epidemic despite difficulties. For the first time in Vietnam and the world, ideals of "rice ATMs" and "noodle ATMs", "mask ATM" were appeared to give support to each other. Thousands of unique costly herbal beverage products have been presented freely to help prevent viruses and boost the immune system to isolated areas throughout the provinces from Hanoi, Da Nang, Binh Duong, Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho.

The image of a united, unified and resilient Vietnam in fighting against the pandemic was through emotional stories about the silent sacrifices of soldiers at the front line, of millions of people and businesses silently joining hands in an effort to prevent and reverse the COVID-19 epidemic, that has gained worldwide admiration.

A series of major press and news agencies in the world such as Reuters, CNN, New York Times, ABC, BBC, Bloomberg, ... and many politicians simultaneously praised Vietnam's miracles with its spirit and bravery in COVID-19 pandemic prevention.

The first phase of the COVID-19 fight has been over, however, the pandemic has been still spreading all over the world and we will still have to make effort and take measures to resolve and prevent the disease well for its second way.
