RoK: Art program from Vietnamese expats
A special art program themed “Singing from the city named after President Ho Chi Minh” took place in Seoul, the Republic of Korea (RoK), on May 24th.
The event was co-organized by the Vietnamese community in the RoK, the Ho Chi Minh city authorities and the Vietnamese Embassy in the RoK, as part of activities to mark the 125th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh and the 23rd anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations.
Chairman of the Overseas Vietnamese Association in the RoK Tran Hai Linh said that the program were performed by 40 artists from Ho Chi Minh city. It brought sentiments of the city’s leaders and people to overseas Vietnamese living and working in the RoK, contributing to improving their patriotism.
On this occasion, the association urged the Vietnamese community in the RoK to continuously launch practical activities for Vietnam’s beloved Truong Sa archipelago.
Nguyen Huu Tin, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh city People’s Committee, affirmed that the program would strengthen relations between the city with the RoK in general and its localities in particular, and thanked the overseas Vietnamese in the RoK for their contributions to the socio-economic development of the city over the past time.
During the program, the participants enjoyed songs, dances and fashion shows in the praise of President Ho Chi Minh and love for the homeland.
The program will be performed in Busan and some provinces in the Southern region./.
