Ivan Os, a talented Russian artist, was born in 1977 in Yakutia. Although he has traveled to most countries in Asia, he still likes to express his special love for Vietnam.

“I like Vietnam because of its nature, culture, and interesting history. The weather is ideal, not too hot but not too cold like in my country," said Ivan Os.

In Vietnam, Ivan Os traveled from South to North three times by motorbike and back again. Working as a freelance photographer and videographer helps Ivan comfortably make trips across Vietnam and each trip lasts from one to three months.

The journeys are getting longer and longer because the more he learns, the more interesting things he has known about this country. From Binh Thuan, Da Lat, Khanh Hoa, and Da Nang to Ninh Binh, Quang Ninh, Hanoi, or the remote northern areas such as Cao Bang, and Lao Cai, he has set foot on his journey.

Originally, he often recorded his journey through filming and taking photos, but fought until he discovered a hidden talent in painting. Ivan never thought he could draw, but now the majestic mountain scenes, famous landscapes, or simply interesting everyday moments of Vietnamese people, are randomly sketched by the Russian artist. He captured everything with just a pen and a piece of paper available.

Ivan that it is the Vietnamese landscape that has helped him reveal his artist. "My whole life has been associated with the visual arts, so it is easier for me to start drawing than I thought at first," he said.

Of all the places that Ivan has been to, the destination that he loves most is n the North of Vietnam – God's Eye Mountain. According to him, this is a very mysterious place, and he planned to travel across Vietnam by motorbike and then come back here. At the same time, he also plans to develop as a professional painter with unique techniques and dreams of publishing a drawing book about Vietnam.
