Kamitani Naoko, director of the Japan Information and Culture Center at the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam, said that Ao Dai is a highly flexible outfit that helps designers to implement many ideas by combining quality materials, creating diverse designs according to each era. "Participating in the event wearing an ao dai inspired by Japan, which is my homeland, but as a representative of the United States, it is an honor," she said.

Pamela Orozco, daughter of Ambassador Elsavador in Vietnam, was excited to wear the ao dai. "The Ao dai reminds of the flower of the maquilishuat tree, the representative tree of our country."

The collection "Ao Dai: Integration and Development" is inspired by the unique cultures of many countries around the world. The designer used traditional patterns, typical fabrics, and shapes, and stylized some details on the shoulders, and sleeves, among others, showing cultural interference between Vietnam and other countries on the Ao dai.

Showcasing this collection are also special models from many countries. Each person wears Ao dai with motifs or cultural features typical of their country.

The designer of the collection, Miss Ngoc Hau, highlighted each ao dai is like a bridge that can delicately connect cultures together, helping countries feel and love Vietnamese culture more. She hopes Ao dai will become a "cultural messenger" that brings Vietnam closer to friends from all over the world.
