With a total non-refundable aid of more than VND 5.6 billion, equivalent to USD 233,034, the project will be implemented until December 2027. It aims to improve physical health through rehabilitation activities and enhance the ability to live independently and integrate into society for people with disabilities (PWDs) in 3 districts: Gio Linh, Vinh Linh and Trieu Phong of Quang Tri province.

The project will host a series of main activities, including training held to improve the capacity of medical staff and staff of the Association of PWDs on orthopedic and rehabilitation devices; orthopedic devices and prosthetic limbs provided for people with disabilities; and screening, functional assessment, and identification of rehabilitation needs organized for PWDs.
There will be also rehabilitation interventions for PWDs, and provision of assistive devices for PWDs. In addition, project participants are trained in knowledge and skills to identify symptoms of psychological disorders (mental health disorders), assession of psychological disorders for people with disabilities and their families; and group activities for people with disabilities and families of people with disabilities who suffer psychological disorders.
The project will provide people with disabilities in Gio Linh, Vinh Linh, and Trieu Phong districts with support, knowledge and skills on independent living, such as policies for people with disabilities, personal finances management, and renovation of accessible homes for both people with disabilities and their families.
