The White House has announced a ban on travel to the U.S. from Brazil due to the spread of coronavirus in Latin America’s hardest-hit country. The proclamation bans entry for anyone who has been in Brazil in the last 14 days while Brazil also published an extra edition of the Federal Gazette restricting the entry of foreigners into Brazil for 30 days. 

A limited emergency-use authorisation for two anti-malarial drugs has been issued by the US Food and Drug Administration to treat coronavirus patients, AFP reported.

The World Bank Group announced Tuesday that it is making available an initial fast track package worths 12 billion USD to assist member countries better respond to, and if possible, lessen the tragic health and economic impacts posed by the rapid-spreading of the novel coronavirus.
