On the evening of March 30, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City organized the ceremony to celebrate on the occasion that the city is recognized by UNESCO as a member of the Global Network of Learning Cities.

Ho Chi Minh City and Son La city in the northern mountainous province of the same name have joined the UNESCO Global Network of Learning Cities (GNLC).
