The Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations, in collaboration with the Cuban Embassy in Vietnam and the Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee, organized the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Exchange on August 23. The event marked the 71st anniversary of the Moncada Barracks attack (July 26, 1953 - 2024).

Vietnam extended their greetings to the Cuban side on the 69th anniversary of the Attack on Moncada Barracks (July 26, 1953-2022).

It was the first among a series of events in HCM City to celebrate the 60th founding anniversary of Vietnam - Cuba diplomatic ties (December 2, 1960 - 2020).
