The Vietnamese association in Kitakyushu city (VAK) has successfully organised the first-ever Vietnamese sports festival in Kitakyushu at the Onga sports centre of Japan’s Fukuoka prefecture.

As one of the founding members of the Southeast Asian Peninsular Games (SEAP Games, now SEA Games, as the right to participate was extended to all countries in the region), over the past half century, Vietnam's top athletes has grown to become a crowd favorite.

Overseas Vietnamese students in Moscow, Russia on April 25 held the Sports Festival to celebrate major national holidays such as Reunification Day, Dien Bien Phu Victory, Birthday of Uncle Ho. The festival took place in compliance with the regulations on Covid-19 prevention and control.
