Attending the ceremony were Jadamba Enkhbayar, Member of Parliament, Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry of Mongolia, Chairman of the Mongolian Subcommittee of the Vietnam - Mongolia Intergovernmental Committee; Jigjee Sereejav, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to Vietnam; Nguyen Ngoc Hung, Vice President of the Viet am Union of Friendship Organizations.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the author's family, former Vietnamese Ambassadors to Mongolia, members of the Vietnam - Mongolia Friendship Association, former Vietnamese students in Mongolia, and Mongolian students currently studying in Vietnam.

Speaking at the event, Mongolian Ambassador to Vietnam Jigjee Sereejav highlighted Chadraabal Lodoidamba as a renowned Mongolian writer of the 20th century. He noted that more than 10,000 copies of the novel "Tungalag Tamir" (The Blue Thami River) were published in 1976.

“In celebration of the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between our two countries, the Mongolian Embassy in Vietnam is pleased to introduce this novel to Vietnamese readers. They will learn a lot about Mongolians and experience Mongolian life from this novel,” said Ambassador Jigjee Sereejav.

Nguyen Ngoc Hung, Vice President of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations, emphasized that culture is the thread that connects countries and peoples. Each book and work of art acts as a bridge, enabling us to connect with international friends and better understand their lives and cultures. The presence of the novel "The Blue Thami River" in Vietnam, one of the most outstanding works of Mongolian literature, exemplifies the close cooperation and sustainable development of the two countries.

Introducing the novel, Doan Thi Huong, former Vietnamese Ambassador to Mongolia, highlighted that "The Blue Thami River" is an epic novel that takes readers through one of the most turbulent periods in Mongolia's modern history, spanning from the beginning of World War I in 1914 to 1932, when the People's Revolutionary Party suppressed a counter-revolutionary rebellion, restoring peace to the Mongolian people.

Highly regarded in Mongolian literature, the novel has twice been awarded the State Prize, Mongolia's highest accolade for historical, cultural, and social works. It has been translated into 19 foreign languages, including Russian, Czech, Romanian, Bulgarian, Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese, and Chinese.

Lodoidamba Galbadrakh, son of the author Chadraabal Lodoidamba, noted that the novel was first published in Vietnam in 1975. The first edition was translated from the Russian language by translator Nguyen Thap, reflecting the Vietnamese people's interest in Mongolian culture. He hopes that more Mongolian literary works will be introduced to Vietnamese readers in the future, and that Vietnamese literary works will also be welcomed in Mongolia. This exchange will strengthen the relationship between the two countries and help people from both nations better understand each other's history, life, and spiritual values.
