Louis Ducruet is the son of Princess Stephanie of Monaco and grandson of Prince Rainier III of Monaco and Princess Grace Kelly. He is 15th in line to the throne of Monaco but has no royal title. The soon-to-be baby will rank 16th on the list.
Chevallier was born in 1993 in Monaco, to a French father and a French mother of Vietnamese origin. As the youngest child in a family of 3 children, with 2 older brothers, Chevallier has been loved by the whole family since childhood. Her father died when Chevallier was in high school, making her more self-sufficient and independent. Chevallier then passed the university entrance exam with excellent results. Because of her family background, she studied and worked many part-time jobs, such as distributing leaflets, tutoring, and supermarket cashier.
Chevallier has a remarkable academic record. She can speak French, English, and Spanish fluently. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in fashion design from the University of West Carolina (USA) and a degree in business administration from SKEMA Business School (France). SKEMA is where the couple got to know each other. The couple has described it as a "love at first sight" moment. The two found a common voice due to the same interest in football and travel.
When asked if loving a member of the royal family is different from loving a normal guy, Chevallier replied, "There's no difference. We met in college. We were simply two young people who fell in love. Of course, we also went through many difficulties." Ducruet's sister, Pauline, said the royal family initially disapproved of the relationship.
During a trip to Hoi An, Ducruet proposed to Chevallier after 7 years of dating in August 2018. The two got married in July 2019. They held a civil wedding ceremony at the Monaco town hall. Currently, this Vietnamese bride is a manager for the Monte-Carlo entertainment complex in Monaco, while her husband is working at the AS football club.
Chevallier said she wants to have two children, while Ducruet wants to have four children. "Having a large family brings me happiness," says Ducruet.
