On June 15, the Vietnamese Embassy in Sweden participated in the ASEAN Trade and Cuisine Fair 2024 in Stockholm, Sweden.
The program is chaired and organized by the ASEAN Committee in Stockholm (ACS), with the coordination of the Embassies of 6 ASEAN countries in Sweden, including Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam.
The fair was attended by President of the Stockholm City Council Olle Burell, representatives of the diplomatic corps in Sweden, a large ASEAN community, and thousands of local tourists.
At the event, the Vietnamese Embassy and the Vietnamese community in Sweden brought hundreds of products and goods such as agricultural products, food, handicrafts, textiles, rattan, and bamboo products to introduce to tourists.
Dozens of traditional Vietnamese dishes such as spring rolls, banh mi, vermicelli, iced milk coffee, and lemon tea were also introduced and made a good impression on the Swedish public.
Despite being the first fair organized by ACS, the ASEAN Trade and Cuisine Fair has attracted special attention from international friends because it takes place when local people prepare to celebrate the Midsommar festival (the longest day of the year for the Swiss).
The fair is also an opportunity for the Vietnamese Embassy to promote information about Vietnam's potential in science, technology, renewable energy, logistics, high-tech agriculture, seafood, tourism, and services; and contribute to bringing Vietnamese brands and national cultural identity to international friends.
Successful participation in this Fair helps bring the image of the country and people of Vietnam closer to the Swedish people and international friends; contributing to promoting bilateral relations between Vietnam and Sweden and celebrating the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries (1969-2024).
