On the afternoon of July 24, Nguyen Quoc Tuyen, Director of the National Tourist Area Management Board of Tuyen Lam Lake said this is the first site in Vietnam that received this title, and the only one in Asia to be proud this time.

According to the notification, Tuyen Lam Lake National Tourist Area has been assessed by the organizing committee to have fully met UNESCO's criteria, contributing to sustainable economic development and spreading national cultural values. It is listed in the category: Typical tourist area of ​​Asia – Pacific.

The honoring ceremony is within the framework of the Forum program "Vietnam - India Cultural and economic exchange" and the commendation ceremony "Intellectuals, Managers, Scientists, Social Activists, Scientists Entrepreneurs, Typical Enterprises in Asia - Pacific; Vietnamese identity brand positioning global value."

Tuyen Lam Lake, 6km south of Da Lat, a famous tourist destination of Lam Dong, has a water surface of 350ha. It was created by the Tia Stream - the headwater of the Da Tam River. No one knows when and why it was called Tuyen Lam, but maybe because of the grandiose nature around it - stream and forest were close to each other. Tuyen stands for the stream, and Lam stands for the forest. Tuyen Lam is a place for water and trees to meet each other.

The director of the Management Board said that the most difficult criterion is the fulfillment of tax obligations, all documents are presented in English. This area has overcome three rounds and many other strong opponents to be the only representative in Asia that is proud.

The lake and its surrounding have fresh air, a tranquil atmosphere, and personified natural landscape. It will become a big attraction with unique types of tourism such as sightseeing, camping, health care, trekking, mountaineering, fishing, visiting revolutionary bases, and other activities for sport and recreation, especially eco-tourism.

Viewed from a cable car or seen from above, Tuyen Lam is as a miniature ocean with each oasis on the lake as a continent. One will feel the immensity between the sky and the water's surface and discover a very different Da Lat.

Regarding receiving the upcoming honorary certificate, the representative of the Management Board said that this is an honor and an opportunity for the Tuyen Lam Lake National Tourist Area to be represented by the tourism industry of Lam Dong province, in order to carry out the work of promoting the brand, image and high-quality resort tourism services to international tourists.
