Uncle Ho through Perspective of Overseas Vietnamese Artist

All the paintings in this exhibition were drawn by overseas artist Dao Trong Ly since 2018 when he started managing the Memorial Site of President Ho Chi Minh in Nakhon Phanom province, and based on the photos and documents he found.

55 paintings of President Ho Chi Minh created by overseas Vietnamese artist Dao Trong Ly are being displayed at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum from May 17, SGGPO reported.

The exhibition is coorganized by the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, and the Association of Thai People of Vietnamese Origin in Nakhon Phanom province in Thailand to celebrate the 134th anniversary of the birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890-2024).

The exhibition presents the overseas Vietnamese artist Dao Trong Ly's 55 paintings of President Ho Chi Minh - our hero of national liberation, a great man of culture.

All the paintings in this exhibition were drawn by artist Dao Trong Ly since 2018 when he started managing the Memorial Site of President Ho Chi Minh in Nakhon Phanom province, with his heartfelt love and profound gratitude towards Uncle Ho, and based on the photos and documents he found.

The artworks depict the life and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh, his departure for national salvation, and glorious milestones in the revolution of the country associated with President Ho Chi Minh and his love for the people in the country and around the world.

This provides the public a deeper insight into Uncle Ho’s mode of life with its simplicity, honesty and dignity, thus educating the young and future generations about Uncle Ho's great revolutionary career and Vietnam's national solidarity.

They vividly illustrate Uncle Ho’s resounding revolutionary career, from the early days of his departure to find the way saving our country, to every crucial milestone of our national revolutionary history.

Dao Trong Ly was born in 1951 into a patriotic overseas Vietnamese family in Nakhon Phanom Province, Thailand. Currently, he is working at the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial Site in Nakhon Phanom Province, Thailand.

The artist said that he will present his artworks to the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum when the exhibition ends.

The exhibition will underway until May 22, 2024 on the First Floor, Building B, Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, 66 Nguyen Thai Hoc street, Ba Dinh district, Hanoi.
