UNRocks 'music band' sings 'Heal the World' to support Covid-19 fighting

UNRocks & Ambassador Friends: "Heal the World" (Video: UN Web TV)
The music video was made by an exclusive "music band" named UNRocks including 26 UN ambassadors and former ambassadors in the context of the entire world is facing an unprecedented threat. The video covered the legendary song " Heal the world" by pop - superstar Michael Jackson in order to encourage and call for the global solidarity in the fight against coronavirus. It was posted on UN webtv http://webtv.un.org// and youtube 3 days ago and paid special attentions by views, shares and comments all over the world.
According to UN's website, the music project is an initiative of Simona-Mirela Miculescu, former Ambassador, Head of Romania's Delegation to the United Nations, and currently serving as Representative of the UN Secretary-General, Head of the UN Office in Belgrade. She is also the founding member of the UNRocks, the first-ever music group composed of ambassadors to the UN.
The music video aimed to spread ambassadors' message of solidarity and work togetger for a better and greater life in the whole world. Beside its tribute to all those who contribute to healing the world – doctors, nurses, healthcare workers, the project also wants to encourage donations to the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for World Health Organization, which can be made at www.COVID19ResponseFund.org.

The President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO), Ms. Nguyen Phuong Nga, the former Ambassador, Vietnam permanent resresentative to the UN, among others, joined the initiative.
She told Vietnam Times that: "It is my honour and pleased to contribute partly to the significant initiative. In the global context of Covid-19 pandemic responses faced serious chanllenges possibly found unable to deal with by any single nation, it is crucial and vital to be assisted by the international unity and mutual collaboration. Our cover of Michael Jackson's legendary song aims to spread a message of solidarity and human kindness power as well as call on the global citizens joining hands to heal our pains, breaks and losses for our common greater world".
