US-Vietnam General Chamber of Commerce Celebrates Five Years of Operation
This is a remarkable event of the US-Vietnam General Chamber of Commerce, taking place in the context that Vietnam and the United States have just officially become comprehensive strategic partners, opening up many investment and trade opportunities between Vietnam and the US. Especially, there are more than 1 million people of Vietnamese descent living in California.
The US-Vietnam General Chamber of Commerce celebrated the 5th anniversary of its establishment with the participation of more than 300 guests on October 12. |
The US-Vietnam General Chamber of Commerce was established in 2019, and co-founded by Sam Ma and Dan Cheng with more than 300 members who are successful businessmen in Monterey Park city and neighboring cities in Los Angeles County, California, USA.
After five years of formation and development, the US-Vietnam General Chamber of Commerce is the focal point to support trade and investment activities between Vietnam and the US, especially in the field of importing goods from Vietnam to the US market such as seafood, agricultural products, and consumer goods. In 2021, with the connection of the US-Vietnam General Chamber of Commerce, Monterey Park and Phu My (Ba Ria - Vung Tau province) have become sister cities to support development in many fields.
Vietnamese Consul General in San Francisco Hoang Anh Tuan sent a congratulatory letter on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the US-Vietnam General Chamber of Commerce’s establishment. The Consul General would like to thank its leaders for their great contributions to the development of relations between the city of Monterey Park and Vietnam in particular, and Vietnam - the United States in recent years.
At this event, the Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Network in the USA (VENUSA) coordinated with the US-Vietnam General Chamber of Commerce to organize booths to introduce products from Vietnam such as COCOXIM brand coconut products, Chilica chili sauce, Bac Giang lychee specialties, canned sugarcane juice from Bien Hoa Sugar Factory.
Professor Nguyen Dinh Phu, Chairman of the Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Network in the USA, expressed his satisfaction of the event's success.
"I went to each table to open each bottle of chili sauce and invite guests to enjoy it. Mayors, councilmen, businessmen, everyone liked and praised the Vietnamese chili sauce. They also introduced some factories to distribute the goods. Besides, there are many customers interested in Ben Tre coconut water specialty. They want to buy and enjoy it. The owner of the restaurant where the event took place said he would buy Vietnamese coconut water to sell in the restaurant. As someone who directly introduces Vietnamese products, I am very pleased."
