At the December 4 meeting, Khanh also handed over a congratulatory message from General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Nguyen Phu Trong to the Algerian official.

Benmbarek stressed that the FLN promotes traditional values and attaches importance to relations with international friends, and pledged to continue his mission and expressed his willingness to cooperate through the Party channel with the Vietnamese side with such activities as delegation exchange and experience sharing.

Khanh, for his part, noted that the Vietnamese Party and State leaders always keep a close watch on the results of the 11th Congress of the FLN and highly value its important role in Algeria.

The ambassador expressed his hope that the two Parties will maintain their solidarity and cooperation to promote the relations between the two states and nations to new heights.

The two sides used the occasion to exchange views on issues of shared concerns and proposed ways to strengthen the bilateral cooperation such as organizing online theoretical exchanges between political academies of the two countries and sharing experience in economic development, anti-corruption, national modernization, education of young generations, and the expansion of cooperation between localities of the two countries.

The two sides agreed to organize joint activities to mark major anniversaries in 2024./.
