The nation had first ever introduced its specialties to international friends with 15 stalls at the Exotic Food Festival held on October 3rd - 4th in Prague, the Czech Republic.

The nation had first ever introduced its specialties to international friends with 15 stalls at the Exotic Food Festival held on October 3rd - 4th in Prague, the Czech Republic.

Ten other countries from Asia, Africa, America and Oceania also participated in the festival to introduce their unique culinary specialties.

Vietnam attended Exotic Food Festival in Czech Republic
The Czech themselves surprised visitors with their specialty dish made from insects. Vietnam introduced dried bamboo, balut, honey soy baked chicken leg, chicken leg salad, fried flour soaked frog, fried pigeon and grilled cuttle-fish.

In addition, there were vegetarian dishes, bread with pate, glutinous rice doughnut, dumplings, floating cake, sweetened porridge and chicken porridge.

Apart from exotic dishes, visitors at the festival also enjoyed a concert with dancing and other performances by participating countries.

The festival also created an opportunity for the organizing board to meet representatives of overseas communities living in the Czech Republic.

The main target of the festival was to promote multi-cultural activities of foreigners in Prague./.
