The two sides discussed in depth measures to promote the relationship between the two Parties, and the two countries Vietnam and China.

Within the framework of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's official visit to the People's Republic of China, on June 25, Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son had a meeting with the Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Qin Gang.

The two sides discussed in depth measures to promote the relationship between the two Parties, and the two countries Vietnam and China.

Minister Bui Thanh Son emphasized that Vietnam attaches great importance to the development of a comprehensive strategic partnership with China.

This is a top priority in Vietnam's foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralization and diversification of foreign relations.

State Councilor and Minister Qin Gang affirmed that China considers Vietnam a priority in China's neighboring foreign policy, as well as in China-ASEAN relations.

The two sides agreed that Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's official visit to China is of great significance in further consolidating and concretizing the high-level common ground reached during the official visit to China by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong (October 30 - November 1, 2022). It contributes to promoting Vietnam-China relations to develop stable, healthy and sustainable.

The two Ministers appreciated the positive development of the relations between the two parties, and the two countries.

As the standing body of the Steering Committee for bilateral cooperation between Vietnam and China, the two ministries agreed to continue working closely in promoting exchanges and contacts at all levels.

They support ministries, branches and localities to deepen substantive cooperation in all fields and strengthen friendly exchanges between the people of the two countries. The two countries expand cooperation at multilateral forums, properly handle disagreements, and jointly maintain a peaceful and stable environment in the region.

Emphasizing some of Vietnam's interests in cooperation between the two countries, Minister Bui Thanh Son suggested the two sides promote economic and trade cooperation for balanced and sustainable development.

He suggested that China open its door and create favorable conditions for goods, especially Vietnamese agricultural products to be exported to China, and increase China's high-quality investment in Vietnam.

The two countries coordinated to handle problems in a number of projects, speeding up the use of some Chinese aid for Vietnam.

Foreign Minister Qin Gang agreed with the cooperation proposals of Minister Bui Thanh Son. He emphasized that the two countries become important economic and trade partners of each other.

China is willing to work with Vietnam to promote the complementary advantages between the two economies, and increase imports of Vietnamese goods, especially agricultural products.

China also coordinated to facilitate the clearance of goods at the land border between the two countries, maintaining a smooth supply chain and production chain.

They encourage reputable Chinese enterprises to invest in Vietnam in fields, that are suitable for Vietnam's development needs.

The two sides exchanged sincere and frank opinions on the issue at sea. They agreed to continue strictly implementing the agreements and common perceptions of the senior leaders of the two Parties, well control disagreements, and properly handle issues at sea.

Minister Bui Thanh Son suggested the two sides respect each other's legitimate interests in accordance with international law, especially the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.

The two sides also discussed in depth international and regional issues of mutual concern.
