During a working session with Czech Deputy Minister of Regional Development Radim Srsen in Prague on September 4, Vietnamese Minister of Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi expressed his impression of the development in Prague.
He briefed his host on Vietnam’s recent development achievements and challenges, including those resulting from the rapid pace of urbanization.
The rapid pace of urbanization presents numerous challenges for urban planning, investment in urban infrastructure, and housing development, particularly for low-income earners, he said.

The minister expected that the Czech Republic, through its experience in the field, would share its experience in urban planning and management, architectural control in urban areas, urban planning execution plans, and the organization of decentralization and delegation in urban planning.
Besides, he highlighted the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and the Czech Republic, especially as the two countries will celebrate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2025, expressing a hope that the two sides will enhance experience sharing in urban space planning, urban management, and housing development.
