Vietnam Donates 1000 Doses Of Drug Addiction Treatment Medicine To Laos
Speaking at the handover ceremony, Dr. Pham Duc Manh, Deputy Director of the Department of HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control, Ministry of Health appreciated drug prevention and control measures of Laos in recent years. He also noted that Vietnamese leaders and people are very interested in and regularly monitor developments related to drug prevention and control and HIV/AIDS prevention in Laos.
"In the spirit of solidarity, friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two parties, the two states and the two peoples of Vietnam - Laos, it is hoped that these Bong Sen medicines will contribute to the treatment of addiction. We also believe that, under the wise leadership of Laos Party and State, together with the determination and unanimity of the authorities and people, Laos will soon control the situation of drug use, enhance socio-economic status and continue to develop sustainably", he said.

Participating in the ceremony, Mr. Bun Thieng Sen Na Khet, Deputy Chief of the Office, General Department of Police, Ministry of Public Security of Laos expressed his deep gratitude to the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The Lao Government committed to distributing and using the drugs for the right people and for the right purposes. The situation will regularly be updated and reported to Vietnam. He also wished that the friendship, solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries would grow and last forever.
The Bong Sen doses, which help with addicition, was among the 62 products recognised by the Ministry of Health as outstanding Vietnamese pharmaceuticals products in 2014.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Phan, Director of Fataco Company, after 17 years of research and free treatment for more than 3,000 drug addicts, the drug is effective in stopping drug addiction. Bong Sen has been tested and accepted by the Ministry of Health and licensed to produce and circulate widely. It contributed effectively to the National Drug Prevention and Control Program. Currently, the drug addiction treatment has been exported to many countries and is protected in 49 countries.
