Vietnam extends condolences to Pakistan over deadly plane crash

Following the plane crash which claimed many lives in Pakistan on May 22, the Vietnamese leader extended his deepest condolences to his Pakistani counterpart, expressing his condolences to those who lost their lives and the bereaved families.
On May 22, a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) passenger plane crashed near the Jinnah International Airport much prior to its scheduled landing. According to news agency PTI, the flight PK-303 from Lahore was about to land in Karachi when the crash happened at the Jinnah Garden area which is close to Model Colony in Malir. The PIA flight had 99 passengers and eight crew members onboard during the time of the incident.
The death toll from the crash stands at 97 with two survivors, Reuters reported.
Pakistan resumed domestic flights last week after it had been suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The report added that the crash took place just minutes before the scheduled landing of the aircraft.
