Nguyen Thi Hoa, 65, from Dong Nai province, Southeastern Vietnam, first knew her fiance, Joni, 24, in 2018 when Joni sent her a friend request on Facebook and initiated the virtual conversation. Their love affairs grew when Joni visited Vietnam and the couple met each other in person.
“I turned him down at first, you know, I’m 66 years old at that time. But Joni insisted that people don’t care about the age difference when it comes to love in Pakistan. It's the love that matters”, Hoa told Thanh Nien. “I gradually feel attracted to and fall in love with him”.

After their engagement at the People’s Committee of Long Thanh province on March 6, which had made national headlines and spurred excitements, the couple last week published their wedding photos on the Internet and received a lot of congratulations from netizens, according to Thanh Nien.
"We don't care about how long we could go together in the future. We just want to live every day to the fullest and enjoy the moment", Hoa smiled.
A friend of Joni and Hoa introduced them to a Ho Chi Minh city-based studio. Joni and Hoa chose a youthful, dynamic, emotional style for their wedding photos.
Each photo captures a meaningful moment of the cross-border couple, who are passionate about each other regardless of the 40-year-age gap.

“This is the most special wedding photo series that I’ve ever taken in my whole career in the last 10 years”, photographer Antone Pham who took this wedding photo serries told Thanh Nien.
“It seems there’s no age difference between them. I can see they are truly in love and treasure the relationship. I really admire their happiness”, he added.
