The program "Vietnam Festa★Online - Kanagawa is a friend of Vietnam" is the first activity in a series of events towards the Vietnam Festival in Kanagawa.
Yuji Kuroiwa, governor of Kanagawa , said that the purpose of the program is to reaffirm the strong bond between Kanagawa and Vietnam. This is in the context that the Vietnam Festival in Kanagawa has not been held in the past 2 years due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Kuroiwa also affirmed the determination to hold the Vietnam Festival in Kanagawa this fall.
Appreciating the initiative to organize Vietnam Festa★Online, the Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Vu Hong Nam said that this program helps strengthen connection and mutual understanding between the young generations of Vietnam and Japan. Thereby, it contributes to the relationship between the two countries.
He also expressed his hope that the young people of the two countries will stay connected and work together to maintain world peace.
With the theme "Reaffirming Kanagawa-Vietnam connection: Exchange between young people, future generations," the program was streamed online on Youtube with the focus on the Friendship symposium Kanagawa-Vietnam.
