The 47th International Food and Beverage Exhibition FOODEX JAPAN 2022 is held at Chiba Prefecture (Japan), with the participation of businesses from dozens of countries and regions. territories, including Vietnam. Saitou Yaso, a food importer from Japan, shared: “I have been to Vietnam many times and I really like Vietnamese food, especially fruits. I think it would be great to be able to bring Vietnamese fruit into the Japanese market. At the moment, the relationship between Japan and Vietnam is getting better and better. Hence, we need to join hands to promote the exchange of agricultural products between the two countries,"

The event attracts the attention of businesses around the world because it is the chance to promote the trade of agricultural products between this Northeast Asian country and foreign countries. Companies that import and distribute Vietnamese agricultural products in Japan are taking full advantage of this exhibition to boost the bilateral trade.

Nguyen Khanh Ly, General Director of Senkyu Company Limited, stressed the importance of this year's event: “We are a company specializing in importing agricultural products into Japan. We have been in this field for about 8 years and have brought a lot of Vietnamese agricultural products here. This time we participate in the exhibition with the desire to promote quality products of Vietnam to international friends so that they know more about these wonderful agricultural products. Our goal this year is to distribute Vietnamese agricultural products to supermarkets in Japan, not only in Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya but also in further areas like Hokkaido."

Nguyen Ngoc Ha, Director of Kome Company Limited also express strong desire to become a distributor of high quality products for Japanese market: “Participating in Foodex Japan 2022, we not only want to introduce to international friends and Japanese consumers about our product, but also to link and cooperate with major supermarket chains in Japan to bring more high-quality agricultural products to Japanese consumers."

Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Vu Hong Nam spoke to the press at the opening ceremony: “At Foodex Japan 2022, I am very pleased to see that our exhibition area had improved in size and product variety. Although many Vietnamese enterprises cannot attend the exhibition because of the epidemic, the Vietnamese goods displayed at this exhibition are still very diverse, beautifully designed, and suitable for the tastes of Japanese consumers. I believe that Japanese friends will definitely satisfy with these products."

Ta Duc Minh, Vietnam Trade Counselor in Japan, agreed, adding that all Vietnamese agricultural products and food displayed at the exhibition meet food hygiene and safety standards to be officially imported to Japan. The Vietnam Trade Counselor in Japan will do our best to help these products to participate in the retail system, so that Vietnamese products are more accessible for Japanese consumers."
