Speaking at the event, the Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Pham Quang Hieu affirmed the embassy’s commitment to fully supporting the corporations, ensuring that the economic relations between the two countries reach new milestones reflective of their strong bilateral relationship.

He highlighted that Vietnam-Japan relations have flourished over the past 50 years. With nearly 40 years of Vietnam’s renovation and opening-up policies and 30 years of attracting foreign investment, both Sojitz Corporation and Sumitomo Corporation have been key partners from the very beginning. Their contributions extend beyond the economic realm to social development and various aspects of the bilateral relationship.

He also emphasized the roles of the two corporate Chairmen as Co-Chairs of the Japan-Vietnam Economic Committee. In this capacity, they have facilitated other Japanese businesses in collaborating and investing in Vietnam, setting a model that encourages further investments.

He expressed his hope that as Vietnam enters a new era of growth and development, Sojitz Corporation and Sumitomo Corporation will continue to contribute significantly to Vietnam’s progress. The Ambassador assured that the Vietnamese Embassy will remain a steadfast partner, supporting the continued evolution of economic relations between the two countries to match the significance of their bilateral ties.
