Vietnam-Jordan Business Forum: Promoting Export of Vietnamese Goods

In the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, for the first time, the Vietnam Trade Office in Saudi Arabia coordinated with the Jordan Chamber of Commerce on July 18 to organize a business forum to step up economic and trade links, and accelerate the export of Vietnamese goods to Jordan.

The trade forum had the presence of more than 30 businesses interested in the Vietnamese market. At this event, the Vietnam Trade Office in Saudi Arabia displayed, promoted samples, and distributed information books of 150 Vietnamese businesses to the Jordanian business community.

Jamal Al - Refaei, first vice president of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce, expressed his delight when for the first time Vietnam held a business forum in Amman, and displayed export products.

He is also committed to providing information, ready to connect Jordanian and Vietnam businesses.

Jordan has a need to import agricultural and aquatic products, food, environmentally friendly products, charcoal, construction materials, furniture, and tiles.

They also want to promote the export of some of Jordan's strong commodities such as chemicals, copper, raw materials for the textile and footwear industry.

Speaking at the forum, Ambassador Dang Xuan Dung was excited to meet businesses interested in Vietnam. He also pledged that the Embassy would support to provide updated information and policies on trade and tourism, and suggest some areas of cooperation between Vietnam and Jordanian businesses

Previously, Ambassador Dang Xuan Dung and the delegation had a meeting with leaders of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce.

The two sides exchanged information on socio-economic development and appointed focal points to work, update information on trade and tourism policies.

Tran Trong Kim, first secretary of the Embassy, head of Trade Office answered the concerns of Jordanian businesses about market access, tax policy, and especially Vietnam's visa policy.

He said that the Vietnam Trade Office is ready to connect and assist in verifying business information to ensure safety in transactions.

Guiding visitors to see the typical export products of more than 150 enterprises, Tran Trong Kim introduced a number of strong products including rice, cashew nuts, coffee, pepper, building materials, and marbles.

All of them are of good quality, in line with the needs of the local market.

Trying out some typical Vietnamese products at the event, visitors had positive feedback on product design and quality.

They also appreciated the operation of the Trade Office, which is a good opportunity for Jordanian businesses to understand more about the Vietnamese market.
