Speaking at the program, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the UAE to Vietnam Bader Almatrooshi emphasized that the program aims to enhance cultural and youth exchanges between the UAE and Vietnam.

The Ambassador said that since its establishment in 1971, the UAE has attached great importance to bringing joy and happiness to the young generation. UAE leaders believe in the importance of investing in youth, empowering and educating them to have high-quality human resources; creating conditions for youth to innovate and develop. The UAE Youth Council, established in 2016, is a pioneering platform that represents the aspirations and addresses the issues of UAE youth and offers innovative solutions to the government on youth issues.
He also highlighted the achievements of the UAE in empowering women on the occasion of UAE Women's Day (August 28) and affirmed the UAE government's commitment to believing in the positive role of women in building a society on the basis of equality with men in economic and political life.
The diplomatic relation between Vietnam and the UAE marked its 30th anniversary in 2023. The two sides regularly exchange high-level delegations, resulting in vibrant economic cooperation. The UAE is Vietnam's leading trade and investment partner in the Middle East with bilateral trade turnover in 2023 reaching US $4.7 billion. In the coming time, the UAE Embassy hopes to promote cultural cooperation, sports, and people-to-people exchange between the two countries.

Speaking at the program, Nguyen Tuong Lam, Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Permanent Deputy Chairman of the National Committee on Vietnamese Youth, provided information about the Vietnamese youth, which has more than 20 million members, accounting for nearly 25% of Vietnam's population.
Currently, Vietnam is in the golden population period, so the youth force plays an important role in participating in the country's socio-economic development and international integration. Vietnamese youth are increasingly aware of the challenges in creating competitive advantages for the country such as improving the quality of human resources, increasing labor productivity, and improving the creative and innovative capacity of young people.
With the desire to start a business, establish a career, integrate internationally, contribute to the country's digital transformation and master advanced technologies, Vietnamese youth have been affirming their important role, stature and mission in the cause of building and developing the country today.

Permanent Deputy Chairman Nguyen Tuong Lam said that Vietnam always attaches importance to its cooperative relationship with the UAE. Over the past 30 years, the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and the UAE have developed positively in many fields such as politics, diplomacy, trade, investment, labor, tourism, and people-to-people exchange.
In the coming time, Permanent Deputy Director Nguyen Tuong Lam hopes that the agencies and organizations in charge of youth work of the two countries will increase exchanges and sharing on the situation of the youth of the two countries, focusing on a number of contents and topics that Vietnam - UAE as well as the youth of the two countries are interested in, focusing on training integration skills, start-ups, volunteering, cultural traditions and creating many opportunities for young people such as students and businessmen to cooperate and share experiences.
