Vietnamese producer K-ICM has been named as the winner of the Best Music Video category at the 26th Asian Television Awards (ATA) for his MV “Chim Quý Trong Lồng” known as “Precious bird imprisoned in a cage” in English, according to VOV.
The video has raked in over 6.7 million views on YouTube since premiering in July. It beat the challenge of nominees from the Philippines, Taiwan, Singapore, and India to win top honors, VNE reported.

“Chim Quý Trong Lồng” speaks about how modern life has become a big cage that restricts young people's freedom and implicitly imposes judgments and language violence, and each person is a precious being but is held back by prejudices like a precious bird locked in a cage.
The MV, which was originally shot in 2020 and performed by singer Van Mai Huong, is considered a declaration of independence for young people who are subject to prejudice and want to challenge it. Within an hour of its initial release, “Chim Quý Trong Lồng” quickly led iTunes Vietnam and the Hot14 real-time rankings.

Born in 1999, music producer, songwriter, and DJ K-ICM started his music career at a very young age. Around the age of 12, he and his brothers were invited to perform at wedding ceremonies. The young boy became famous on social networks for his keyboard skills. K-ICM later joined the professional music market and earned his first success with the song "Buồn của anh" (My sadness) in 2018. During his career, the producer has won many awards. Most of his songs are popular among the young generation.
Van Mai Huong is a Vietnamese Pop Music singer. She was the runner-up of Season 3 of Vietnam Idol in 2010, before becoming a mainstay in the industry. As a participant in the third season of Vietnam Idol, she was the youngest among the top 10 contestants and was known as a highly technical performer. After the competition, she continuously gained success with pop and ballad songs.
