Circus artists Giang Quoc Co and Giang Quoc Nghiep officially broke a new world record in Milan around 2 p.m. (Italy time) on February 3. They set a new head-to-head balancing walk record and broke their previous record.

Co and Nghiep practiced until 10 a.m. (Italy time) before breaking the world record at 2 p.m.

Giang brothers must blindfold themselves, and walked the 50-cm wide and 10-m long surface in 1 minute and 55 seconds in Milan, Italy, to make it into the Guinness Book of World Records.

They finished the performance pretty smoothly, breaking their previous record.

Co expressed his feelings after setting a new record, saying he was nervous when he took a step wrongly, nearly falling off a straight line 2m above the ground.

After achieving the final milestone in their careers, Nghiep was happy for the support of their fans. "We have not disappointed our supporters."

Previously, the Giang brothers had received an invitation from the Guinness World Records Organization to go to Milan to perform in early January.

They prepared a training ladder based on the Organization's technical requirements, practicing together from January 15 to January 31 (Vietnam time).

The Giang brothers' schedule in Milan is expected to take place from February 1 to February 7. They went to the Guinness World Records headquarters on February 2 afternoon to have an interview. The two brothers dressed in red ao dai with a yellow star.

Co and Nghiep checked the performance frame and practiced in the 6 degrees Celsius weather at about 2:00 p.m. on the same day. They began by practicing without blindfolds.

However, when the two brothers were blindfolded, they experienced some challenges. Co took a step away from the 50cm wide straight line, causing Quoc Nghiep to fall. Neither of them was terribly hurt because of the thick padding but it did leave them sore.

Nghiep was in pain late at night and had to stretch his neck muscles with tools. While he successfully perservered, Quoc Co and Quoc Nghiep's competitive careers will officially end after this trip.
