On the occasion of Ramadan – the holy month of Muslims, the Labor Union of the Vietnamese Embassy in Pakistan organized a meaningful charity activity, demonstrating the Vietnamese spirit of humanity and sharing, The Gulf Observer reported on March 24.
This activity not only contributes to supporting disadvantaged people in Pakistan but also spreads a beautiful image of Vietnamese people in the eyes of international friends.

Vietnamese Ambassador Pham Anh Tuan and all the families of the Embassy staff members joined hands in preparing the charity meals. These meaningful gifts were given to homeless people and those in difficult circumstances. Notably, this activity also saw the enthusiastic participation of the children of the embassy’s officials and staff. Through participating with their parents, the children are not only educated about the spirit of humanity and sharing but also gain a deeper understanding of the value of help and love in life.
This is also an opportunity for the young Vietnamese generation in Pakistan to learn and promote the traditional beauty of Vietnamese people, such as 'The intact leaves protect the tattered ones.'

Throughout the holy month of Ramadan, Muslims devote time to deep reflection and prayer. They fast from sunrise to sunset, abstaining from food and drink while focusing on good deeds and strengthening their faith.
It also is a sacred time when Muslims turn towards the good values of sharing and helping each other. The Labor Union of the Vietnamese Embassy in Pakistan's charity activity during this occasion not only shows respect and understanding of the local culture but also affirms the solidarity and friendship between the two peoples.
This charity activity has left a deep impression on the people of Pakistan, contributing to further strengthening the friendly relationship between the two countries. At the same time, it is also a testament to the humanitarian spirit and willingness to share of the Vietnamese people, wherever they are in the world.
Last year, Vietnamese Embassy in Pakistan held similar charity activity during Ramadan. The Embassy also has joined with nearly 50 foreign missions and international organisations and companies at the international charity fair PFOWA Bazaar 2024 in the Pakistani capital of Islamabad. The charity fair, organized annually by the Pakistan Foreign Office Women’s Association in Islamabad (PFOWA), aims to raise funds specifically to help poor and disadvantaged people.
