Vietnamese Embassy joins charity fair in DPRK’s capital
The Pyongyang International Women's Association (PIWA) recently organized a charity fair in Pyongyang the capital of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) to raise money for charities in the country.
Soem 20 Embassies and international organizations in Pyongyang participated in the fair by displaying and selling traditional products from each country.
As a member of the PIWA Executive Committee, the Vietnamese Embassy in DPRK actively participated in organizing and opening a kiosk at the fair.
Vietnam's kiosk was decorated with many unique cultural products of Vietnam such as conical hat, bamboo frame, silk scarves, lacquer products, photos to promote the country and people of Vietnam and Vietnamese traditional dishes such as spring rolls and other products made from coffee, fruits.
Through this fair, the Vietnamese Embassy collected over EUR625 from the sale of cultural products and Vietnamese cuisine. The Pyongyang International Women's Union also collected a total of EUR5,680 to carry out charitable activities and help poor children in difficult circumstances in the nation. /.
