The succession of many Vietnamese dairy enterprises' names on the list of dairy exports to China marks the expectation of growth in miik export. This also serves as a great opportunity for the dairy industry and Vietnam's dairy production and processing to develop.
China is still the world leader in importing milk. In 2019, China imported 39.43 million tons of milk, of which, fresh milk imported about 750,000 tons and about 650,000 tons of milk powder.
The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization predicts that the demand for milk will increase about 45% by 2025, informed Industry and Trade News.

The official export of Ong Tho condensed milk to China is an optimistic signal of Vinamilk and Vietnam's dairy industry in general, despite many obstacles caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
China is currently the 2nd largest dairy market in the world (only after the US market) with a total value of about 60 billion USD and the consumption of dairy products per capita is constantly increasing. In 2019, China imported 39.43 million tons of milk, including about 750,000 tons of fresh milk and about 650,000 tons of milk powder.
Therefore, the dairy industry aims to export milk to China to increase from USD 120 million to USD 300 million by 2020, reported by Investment News.
With over 1.4 billion people, China is a world leader in importing milk. According to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, Chinese demand for milk will keep rising. Vietnamese firms can export dairy products to China. This will create valuable opportunities for the dairy industry and Vietnam's milk production and processing, informed VGP.
