Vietnamese Germans hold demonstration against China’s illegal construction

Some hundred overseas Vietnamese in Germany on Sunday afternoon (Vietnam Time) held a demonstration against China’s illegitimate construction activities in the East Sea.

(VNF) - Some hundred overseas Vietnamese in Germany on Sunday afternoon (Vietnam Time) held a demonstration against China’s illegitimate construction activities in the East Sea.

The protest, held in front of China Consulate in Munich, was joined by some hundred Vietnamese expats in Munich and neighboring areas.

The demonstrators rallied against China’s illegitimate construction activities in Vietnam’s Truong Sa (Spratly) Archipelago in the East Sea.

Nguyen Lam Son, head of the organization board, briefed the demonstrators on China’s illegal activities in the East Sea in over the past dozens of years, including China’s occupation of Gac Ma and a number of islands and reefs in Truong Sa in 1988.

He added not only Vietnam but many other countries have censured China’s provocative acts.

The protesters urged that China stop such illegitimate activities immediately.

The Sunday protest, coupled with two other peace rallies held earlier in Berlin and Frankfurt, speak volumes of Vietnamese expats’ patriotism, solidarity and resolve to reiterate Vietnam’s sovereignty over its seas and islands./.
